Begin with a topic checklist
Open the official Category B topic list and mark each area as unfamiliar, partly understood or ready to revisit. Choose priorities from that checklist and your recent practice notes.
Select a realistic session length. For example, you might start with twenty minutes and adjust it after a few sessions. Keep space for reading and reviewing, so answering questions does not use the entire session.
Use this fourteen-day outline
Each pair of days has one main purpose. Repeat or extend a pair whenever you need more time. The activities are DrivingNorway’s suggested routine, with no promised pass result.
| Days | Main focus | What to keep |
|---|---|---|
| 1–2 | Map the official topics and try a short practice round. | A priority list and notes on uncertainty. |
| 3–4 | Study one priority topic and explain answers. | A few explanations in your own words. |
| 5–6 | Review picture questions and difficult words. | An observation checklist and short vocabulary list. |
| 7–8 | Revisit mistakes, then try a second topic. | Specific corrections and questions still unresolved. |
| 9–10 | Mix topics and inspect uncertain answers. | Notes on where understanding still breaks down. |
| 11–12 | Read official sources for unresolved rules and practise again. | Clear explanations tied to the relevant sources. |
| 13–14 | Review priorities and appointment details, then plan any further work. | A next-step list based on your understanding. |
Give each session a simple shape
Start by revisiting one note without opening its explanation. Then do the main activity for the day. Finish by choosing one question or word that needs another look.
- Opening: explain yesterday’s correction from memory.
- Main activity: study a topic or answer a short set of questions.
- Closing: write the reason for one uncertainty and choose a next action.
Change the plan when your notes change
If the same difficulty appears repeatedly, spend the next session on it. If one topic becomes clear, use that time for something still unfamiliar. You do not need to complete a fixed number of app questions to follow this plan.
Keep a small record of what you studied and what remains uncertain. Practice scores can help you notice patterns, but a familiar set of answers should lead to a new example and an explanation check.
Keep the wider licence process in view
Category B includes mandatory training as well as tests. Use Statens vegvesen’s official pathway to check your progress; this study calendar does not replace training requirements.
At the end of the two weeks, read your unresolved notes and choose what comes next. You may need another topic session, clarification of a rule or more work on reading. Let that evidence guide the next plan.
